Game Features

"Labyrinth: Caverns of 2073" is a fun, casual game of cave exploration and mystery. You play a dwarven engineer who is working with a robot when he is literally drawn in a cave and begins exploring the mysteries found within.

Game play is straight-forward. Play a solitaire game to gain movement points. Spend those movement points to move around the cave and dig up gems. After finding the key and any other items you need, you then find the exit and return to the city.

At the city, you can visit the Tech Vendor or the Arcane Shop to buy new robots, upgrades, and magic charms to help you solve the mystery of the caves.

At its heart, this game is:

  • A solitaire card game,
  • a jigsaw puzzle,
  • exploring a cave,
  • digging up gems,
  • and item collection (rocks, mushrooms, circuit boards).

Labyrinth, Version 1.1

Due to the perceived difficulty of the game, we've made a few adjustments to start the game easier and ramp up the difficulty.

Change Log:

  • Smaller solitaire deck that gets larger over time.
  • Some achievements require a larger deck to activate.
  • Solitaire instructions were re-phrased and made more literal.
  • Comics can be clicked through faster.
  • Solitiare game gives you hints in the form of blinking cards and buttons. This always happened before, but now it happens more often.

FAQ

Q: What is this game about?
At its heart, this game is:

  • A solitaire card game,
  • a jigsaw puzzle,
  • exploring a cave,
  • digging up gems,
  • and item collection (rocks, mushrooms, circuit boards).
It also tests spacial recognition, as you have to find the location of a key and an exit in the cave based upon the jigsaw puzzle. In hardcore mode, there is a final battle in which the player tries to fend of hoards of aliens while destroying their spaceship.

Finally, between levels, you can purchase powerups at the city's Tech Vendor and Arcane Shop. These allow you to buy robots, upgrades, and magic charms, each of which help break a rule of the game.

I'd rate the majority of the game as suitable for all audiences, and Hardcore Mode as suitable for 10+.
